About the Recipe

Fried beetroots are a delicious option for a healthy lunch or dinner. Beetroots are rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, iron and magnesium, making them a great addition to a healthy diet.

You can serve beets hot or cold as an addition to salads or sandwiches. They are also an ideal ingredient for soup or even stew.

Beets are a very messy business so when working with them make sure you are wearing dark clothes, gloves and use an easy to clean surfers. I hope these tips will help you prepare delicious fried beets.

Ingredients

4-5 medium beets

2 tbsp of butter

salt to taste

¼ tsp of cumin

¼ coup of heavy cream


Preparation


  1. Wash the mud off the beets and preheat the oven to 350°F. Roast them in the oven until soft for about one hour. You can also cook them until soft in a pot filled with water.

  2. Let them cool down and peel the beets thoroughly.

  3. Grate them on a big eyes of the greater and place in a medium saucepan.

  4. Add butter and cook on a medium heat until the butter melts.

  5. Add salt and cumin.

  6. Cook on a small heat for 15 min, mix in the cream.
