About the Recipe

This waffle recipe is the only one you'll need to make homemade savory waffles with your waffle maker. You need very simple ingredients, and for this recipe I do not add any sugar.
Serve waffles hot with side of bacon and sunny side up eggs, with a small "salad" of tomatoes and spinach. This is perfect way to start the day or eat brunch in style.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients:

2 cup of all purpose flour
1 tbsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt

Wet ingredients:

1 eggs
1 3/4 cups of milk
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
Non stick cooking spray

Toppings:
handful of chopped chives
1 egg per waffle
tomato (slides)
handful spinach
1 slice of bacon per person

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat a waffle iron.

Step 2

Combine all the dry ingredients in a big bowl. Whisk in the egg, milk, and vegetable oil, until everything is combined. Add the chopped chives and mix everything.

Step 3

Spray the preheated waffle maker with nonstick spray and pour batter onto it. Cook it until golden brown for about 3 to 5 minutes, the light of the waffle makes sure to turn green.

Step 4

While the waffle is cooking, fry the bacon, and sunny-side up eggs.

Step 5

Serve hot with a side of tomatoes and spinach.
