About the Recipe

One of the many things that are amazing in the United States are themed parties. Starting with Halloween and finishing with birthday parties, they are created to take you to another place or even time.

On parties like that everything has a theme, starting from decorations, dress ups and finishing on food... And trust me the ideas that people have are incredible.

So I needed to step up my game when I got a request for a dino theme party.
Here is one of the recipes, dino deviled eggs that look like the dinosaurs just come out of them.

This recipe is amazing also for other occasions, for example Easter. They are super easy to make, you can just skip the part of dyeing the eggs, and instead make regular looking deviled eggs.

Ingredients

12 hard boiled eggs
Avocado
Bacon
Chives
Salt and pepper

Food coloring and water

Preparation

Step 1

Hard boil the eggs. Crack the shells but do not peel.
Step 2

Prepare 2-3 bowls of water and add food coloring - I used two green and orange (you can pick any colors you like)

Step 3

Put the cracked eggs in the bowls of water and put them overnight in the fridge.

Step 4

The next day peel the eggs, and cut them in half - you can cut them in a straight line or in a funny way “pretending dinosaurs already came out”. Take out the egg yolks and put them in a medium size bowl.

Step 5

To prepare the filling,  first chop and fry the bacon. Peel the avocado, and mix it with the egg yolks. Finely chop chives, and add them and the fried bacon into the bowl. Add salt and pepper.

Step 6

Fill up the eggs. Serve cold.
